Questions about tournaments

Everything parents and young athletes need to know about qualifying competitions.

How does the game work in tournaments?
Games are played according to the Swiss system. The tournament is held without elimination. Starting from the second round, opponents are selected automatically so that participants who have scored an equal number of points meet each other. This guarantees a fair fight.
If a child loses on the first day, does he need to come back on the second day?
Yes, definitely! The participant has the right to play the tournament to the end regardless of the number of points scored or lost. Every round played is an experience that builds character and makes a child stronger.
Can parents enter the game room?
The presence of parents in the gaming room is strictly prohibited (except in force majeure situations by decision of the chief arbiter). This is necessary to maintain the concentration of players and eliminate hints. Parents can comfortably wait for their children in a specially equipped waiting area.
Where can I see the results of the played rounds?
All results and draws are promptly posted on the international websitechess-results.com. You need to go to the tournament search section, select the country KAZ (Kazakhstan) and find the name of the corresponding club cup.
How often do qualifying tournaments take place?
Qualifying tournaments for the assignment of 4, 3, 2 and 1 sports categories are held in our club monthly. A detailed schedule, regulations and links to registration are always published in advance on our official Instagram account.
