History and philosophy of the club
The Central Chess Club "ASTANA" is a chess school with a long history and high sports standards.
Our goal is to train young talents, comprehensively support children’s and youth sports and popularize chess in Kazakhstan. According to experts' assessments of technical equipment, coaching staff and sports results, the Central Chess Club is one of the best chess clubs on the Eurasian continent.
We divide students strictly according to their level of preparation. Our branches on the left and right banks of Astana are equipped with the latest technology, and premium design creates a great atmosphere for future champions.

Chronicle of development
Key milestones and victories of our club, starting from its foundation.
On the initiative of Ablai Tastambekov and the leading trainers of the city, the ASTANA Central Sports Club was founded. The main branch with an area of 500 m² was opened. The opening ceremony was attended by the President of the International Chess Federation FIDE, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov. The prestigious Astana Open tournament was launched.
Our student Ansat Aldiyar took first place in the under 12 age category at the prestigious international tournament Lviv Cup 2022 in Ukraine.
At the Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the club's students win 20 medals in the disciplines: classic, rapid and blitz.
Nogerbek Kazybek wins silver at the World U18 Championship and also becomes the U18 world blitz champion. Ansat Aldiyar wins bronze. Kazakhstan takes 2nd place in the team competition at the Western Asian Youth Chess Festival. The first international tournament “MTS Alliance” was held.
Ansat Aldiyar becomes the champion of Kazakhstan among men. Berikkyzy Alanna wins the title of world champion in classics under 9 years old. Amina Kairbekova takes silver at the World Blitz Championship in Italy. The women's team takes silver at the team world championship in Poland, having three of our students: Bibisara Asaubaeva, Amina Kairbekova and Meruert Kamalidenova.
After 26 years, the representative of Kazakhstan wins the title of world champion under 20 years old - our student Nogerbek Kazybek becomes it. At the Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan, our students take 27 medals (14 gold). Alisha Bisalieva, Aldiyar Zhauynbai, Alimzhan Zhauynbai and Arlan Mirzhanov win the children's world championships. Five of the club's students are members of the Kazakhstan national team.

Historic triumph at the Olympics
At the 45th World Chess Olympiad in Budapest, the Kazakhstan women's team took a historic second place, rising to the podium for the first time since 1927.
